Ambulance Corp
Sleepy Hollow's Emergency Medical Services is a volunteer organization, assisted by Paid Staffing. The Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps responds to over 800 emergency calls per year and operates two basic life support (BLS) ambulances and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) fly-car. It is a New York State Certified Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and is equipped with state-of-the-art defibrillators. Advanced life support (ALS) is provided by Mount Pleasant Paramedics.

Assessor
The Assessor assesses the value of property within the Village for property tax purposes. This also includes, but is not limited to, the collection of property inventory, maintenance of ownership information, and implementation of whole and partial property tax exemptions. The Assessor also assists in the defense of litigation regarding property taxes.

Building
The Sleepy Hollow Department of Architecture, Land Use Development, Buildings & Building Compliance is supervised by the Village Architect and is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the provisions of all laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and orders applicable to the location, design, material, construction, alteration, repair, equipment, maintenance, use, occupancy, fire safety, and demolition of buildings and structures located in the Village.

Community Liaison
The Community Liaison of Sleepy Hollow is responsible for the coordination of various special programs and events and acts as a liaison between the municipality, various community/business organizations, and the general public.

Department of Public Works
The Department of Public Works has 30 full-time employees. The maintenance of all roads, sidewalks, street lights, street signs, trees, snow plowing, and parking meters in the Village of Sleepy Hollow is the responsibility of the Public Works - Highway Department.

Finance
As Chief Fiscal Officer of the Village, the Treasurer is authorized under Village Law to invest and manage all public funds.

The Sleepy Hollow Fire Department (SHFD) is the municipal fire department for the Village of Sleepy Hollow in the County of Westchester, State of New York.

Registrar of Vital Statistics: Birth & Death Records
This Office is the repository for all birth and death records of anyone who was born or passed away in the Village of Sleepy Hollow, formerly known as North Tarrytown.

Village Administrator
Anthony Giaccio is the Village Administrator for Sleepy Hollow. Appointed by and serving under the direction of the Mayor and Board of Trustees, the Administrator is the chief administrative officer of the Village. He is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, coordinating, budgeting, and evaluating all local government activities. All department heads report to the Village Administrator.

Village Clerk
The Village Clerk is a public official, appointed by the Mayor and Board of Trustees to a two-year term. She reports directly to the Mayor and Village Administrator. The Clerk is responsible for assisting the Westchester County Board of Elections with Village elections and maintains all Village records and communications of the Board of Trustees such as meeting minutes, resolutions, and local laws and public announcements.

Sustainable Sleepy Hollow
The purpose and mission of the SHEAC is to help build awareness and support for the development, management and protection of Sleepy Hollow’s natural resources; to assist and provide input into the drafting of environmental local laws designed to provide protection for our natural resources; and to participate in environmental reviews when requested by the Board of Trustees or the Planning Board.

The Planning Board works to maintain and improve the orderly, efficient, and economical development of the Village.

Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is the Village Board that hears and decides appeals from decisions by the Village’s Building Inspector.

The Art and Placemaking Committee
The mission of the Art & Placemaking Committee (APC) of Sleepy Hollow is to preserve the village's natural, historic, and cultural resources and to enhance its public spaces through the implementation of art, sustainable landscaping, and engaging community projects.

Transportation and Parking Committee
The Parking & Transportation Committee is dedicated to finding solutions to ongoing resident and business concerns relating to parking, transportation, and pedestrian safety. The Committee informs the Board of Trustees through resident representation and diverse perspectives. The Sleepy Holllow Tourism Committee will harness perspectives and innovative ideas from across our Village to preserve quality of life for locals, improve the visitor experience, coordinate events and partnerships, improve communication and ensure that tourism has a net positive financial impact on Sleepy Hollow.

Town Hall Meetings
The Village of Sleepy Hollow has instituted quarterly Town Hall meetings at various locations to provide additional opportunities for residents to learn more about what's the latest happenings in Sleepy Hollow, engage with Village staff, boards local organizations, and most importantly, other neighbors.
