Ambulance Corp

Sleepy Hollow's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a volunteer organization, assisted by Paid Staffing.The Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps responds to over 800 emergency calls per year and operates two basic life support (BLS) ambulances and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) fly-car. 

It is a New York State Certified Emergency Medical Service and is equipped with state of the art defibrillators. Advanced life support (ALS) is provided by Mount Pleasant Paramedics. The Corps has been awarded numerous citations over the years including unit citations in 2002 and 2005 by the Westchester County Regional EMS Council for its recent improvements.

Angela Martello is the current SHVAC Chief of EMS.

She also works as a Police Officer for the Sleepy Hollow Police Department and is a longtime resident of the Village of Sleepy Hollow.

Active members will get free first aid/ CPR training and will be eligible for reimbursement from EMT training once completing a probationary period. Call today at 631-1962 or fill out the application for active membership.
