Sleepy Hollow Connected
Mayor's Message
Sleepy Hollow Connected was created to provide residents of Sleepy Hollow with transparency into the process behind the major public projects that are supported by public grants, private grants, and taxes. Here you can find the funding sources, plans, and status of the projects that will impact and improve your daily lives as residents of the village. Sleepy Hollow Connected provides the insight necessary for unity and growth as a community through improved communication. I encourage you to participate and to keep track of our development efforts through Sleepy Hollow Connected. Thank you to all who have participated in the creation of our recent Comprehensive Plan, this site is only possible through your hard work and collaboration.
The Comprehensive Plan in Action
Sleepy Hollow Connected provides the public with an easy-to-navigate directory of the initiatives that maintain and improve the quality of life of our community. This site tracks the planning, development, and implementation of projects that impact our roads and sidewalks, waterfront, and park lands.

Comprehensive Plan
In 2019, the Village embarked on an update of its Comprehensive Plan and Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (Waterfront Plan), to ensure that, through careful, consensus-driven planning, Sleepy Hollow can transform itself in a way that delivers clear benefits to the full community, while preserving the Village’s values and special character.
-
Grants
In order to maintain and expand our infrastructure to meet our current and future needs, the Village of Sleepy Hollow seeks funding from County, State, and Federal sources. These additional funds supplement Sleepy Hollow’s capital budget, lessening the financial burden on taxpayers.

Local Development Corporation (LDC)
The Sleepy Hollow LDC was created in 2014 to support employment opportunities and economic development in Sleepy Hollow through the use of selective financing, real estate development, public works, and business partnerships.

Public Space Projects
In 2018, the Village Board created a public space council to help guide the way public spaces are designed and maintained. The group helped to oversee the design of the new Riverwalk.
