Village of Sleepy Hollow Facade Improvement Program
FAÇADE IMPROVEMENT GRANT PROGRAM
The Village of Sleepy Hollow is offering funding assistance from New York State aimed towards improving the aesthetic and safety conditions of commercial and mixed-use buildings within the NY Forward Boundary [see NY Forward Boundary Map below].
Building owners will apply to receive grant funds to renovate their building facades, including improvements of exterior walls, storefronts, replacement of windows and doors, lighting, signage and awnings. Additionally, commercial interior fit-outs, activation of upper story residential units, HVAC, MEP, and other permanent building improvements may also be eligible for funding.
There is a total of $270,000 funds available to be awarded. The program goal is to award and distribute these funds to rehabilitate at least four commercial or mixed-use buildings, assisting at least four business.

January 20, 2026 from 10:00am - 2:00pm - Informational one-on-one sessions for businesses and property owners with questions. (Appointments preferred, sign-up here; Drop-in without appointment is possible).
- February 27, 2026 - Applications Due
- March 27, 2026 - Anticipated date by which selected projects will be notified
- December 2027 - All renovation work must be completed
