Sleepy Hollow Police Department

July 10, 2020:  Updated Parking Rules:

The Sleepy Hollow Police Department is focused on working in partnership with the community.  Its mission is to enhance the quality of life within the Village by providing the community with the highest quality of law enforcement services possible.  The Department is guided by the principles of the United States Constitution and the Constitution of New York State, and seeks to preserve the peace, enforce the law, reduce incidents of crime and provide a safe environment for citizens, while respecting the rights and dignity of all persons.

The SHPD includes 24 police officers and 10 part-time civilian employees, including six school crossing guards, three parking enforcement officers, and one Administrative Assistant.

The department includes a patrol division (including bike patrol), detectives, administrative staff and a school resource officer.  The SHPD is led by Chief Anthony Bueti.
The Department is committed to continued expansion of its “community oriented policing” approach, including increased foot and bike patrols that foster positive interaction between officers and residents.  In addition, the School Resource Officer plays a role in developing trust between the Department and school age children, and is trained in assessing issues including bullying.

Please remember that no issue is too “small” to be brought to the attention of a police officer if it is of concern to you.  There are many ways you can reach out to the SHPD:
In an emergency always dial 911 * for other issues, call the Department directly at (914) 631-0800
