The Village Justice Court is responsible for adjudicating criminal and civil cases arising within the Village. The Village Justice is an elected official with a four-year term who must annually complete twelve (12) hours of mandatory Judicial Continuing Education offered by the State Office of Court Administration. The Village Justice is authorized to perform marriage ceremonies anywhere in New York State.
Tickets and fines can be paid weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to the Village Justice Court Clerk on first floor of Village Hall. The Court schedule is as follows:

Second Thursday of the month at 5:00 p.m. |
Courtroom Decorum:
- Appropriate attire is required while attending court. Defendants in criminal matters will have their cases adjourned if they are not appropriately attired.
- Cell phones and pagers must be turned off. Ringing phones will be confiscated by the Court Officer and returned at a later date.
- Infants and children who are disruptive may be excluded from the courtroom.
- No food or drink permitted.
